You’ll work alongside experienced project professionals, gaining real, meaningful experience while developing the technical and behavioural skills needed for a successful career in Project Controls.

 

As a Project Controls Apprentice, you will learn how to support both Project Controls and Project Management teams to control, monitor, and analyse progress and performance for operational or project and programme scopes of work. 

 

You will cover a number of Project Control disciplines such as: Planning, Estimating, Cost Management, Change control and Baseline Management, Performance Reporting and Risk.

Job Description

 

The Project Controls apprentice will be involved with experiencing and completing the following tasks: 

 

  • Supporting the monitoring of project performance, and the preparation of performance reports
  • Supporting the control of project expenditure, and the forecasting of future expenditure
  • Supporting the identification of changes to scope, time or costs to deliver the scope
  • Support the preparation and revisions of plans, scope and estimates in support of Baseline change controls
  • Retrieving, recording and presenting information accurately
  • Supporting the development of the project schedule and progress updates
  • Provide support to the application of risk processes alongside the Project team
  • Engage with project stakeholders across the business to gather information
  • Work as part of an integrated Project team  

 

As part of the apprenticeship, you will work alongside experienced professions from different disciplines, gaining experience for your learning and development for your apprenticeship.

Entry Requirements: 

 

Typically, candidates will have achieved grade C or above in at least five GCSE’s including English and Maths.

Please note: all of our roles will require the successful applicant to achieve BPSS Security Clearance. Some of our roles may require a higher level of clearance to be achieved. If this is required, this will be detailed in the Job Requirements section. If the role requires higher level of National Security Vetting, applicants must typically have 5 or 10 years continuous residency. Factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the level of clearance you’re able to achieve.
